Thanks for your interest in Symbio, which is hosted by the good folks over at SourceForge.net. To install it on your web site, just follow these steps:

  1. Get the latest version of Symbio from a SourceForge mirror near you by .tar.gz?download" target="_blank">clicking here. If you're looking for the previous releases, you can still get them from the project file list.

  2. Now that you've got the package, consult the Symbio manual for complete and comprehensive installation instructions.

  3. And once you've got it up and running, you may want to change the default language from English to one of the other available languages, or create your own language file. The other language files can be found at the project file list. For instructions on how to create your own, please read the manual.

If you are currently using HaloScan's commenting services and you would like to keep your comments after installing Symbio, you may want to take a look at Jay's Haloscan to Symbio Comment Converter.

If you wish to provide a download link to the latest version of Symbio on your web site, the URL http://symbio.sourceforge.net/download/, which will always point you to the latest release, will probably be more convenient than a direct link.
