Symbio 1.3.2

Changes

Bugfix: The help popup's JavaScript code to open the window that toggles smileys is now correct again. Some browsers didn't pose any problems, others did.

Upgrading

If you've already got Symbio 1.3.1 installed, overwriting help.pl with the version contained in the installation package will suffice. I didn't release an upgrade package because the entire installation package is a mere 80 KB download.

Symbio 1.3.1

Changes

Bugfix: The main popup should now render properly when no comments are available for the article.

Upgrading

If you've already got Symbio 1.3 installed, simply get the upgrade package and replace index.cgi.

Symbio 1.3

Changes

Theme update: post.txt has merged with main.txt. The file can also include a comment separator, which will be displayed between the comments in the list.
Post output code improvement: Posts will display a lot faster.
Smiley code update: Smileys now need to be preceded by a space in order to be recognized.
New configuration option: You can now change the size of the top commenter table.
Bugfix: The size of the top commenter table is now displayed in its title.
Theme i18n: New tags are available for the post output, which represent translations of the following strings: Date, Name, E-mail, WWW, Comments, Click here
and Not available.
Code style optimizations: Now using my instead of local everywhere, plus some other changes.
Version information: You can now see the version number of the Symbio release you have installed in the control panel. Theme designers can also include this version with the <!symbioversion> tag.
Extra themes: The additional wavy theme collection is now included in the Symbio package by default, as well as the new demo theme for theme developers.
Symbio is now only distributed as a tarball. The RAR archive has always had less downloads, and offers less compression as well. Furthermore, any system that can decompress RAR files is also very likely to have tarball support.

Upgrading

At the first statistics update, the top commenter table will be extended to a listing of all people who have commented. If you wish to change this, set the appropriate value in the control panel.
Version 1.3 language files include a few new lines for internationalization purposes. If an updated version of your language file is not yet available, you can use a version 1.2 theme. The only difference will be that some strings are in English instead of your language.
If you are upgrading a theme, i.e. installing a version 1.3 theme in the directory where an older version of that theme is present, please remove the post.txt file. It might not work if you fail to do so.
While the post.txt file from older themes will still work, theme designers are encouraged to use the new format. The post.txt file might not be supported in future releases.
