Fixing the Mozilla layout bug in version 1.6 had yielded a critical new bug with Internet Explorer: users were unable to post comments with the affected themes. This has been fixed.
To upgrade from version 1.6, get the upgrade package and extract it to your script directory.
You can now ban IP addresses and ranges (IPv4 only) from posting comments.
Poll templates allow you to automatically append a generic poll based on the article ID.
In case you don't have access to Sendmail, you can now have Symbio e-mail you about new comments through the Net::SMTP module.
The statistics in the help window are now fully themable as well.
You can now have Symbio insert a different link text when a poll is associated with the article.
By adding an extra parameter to the linkComments JavaScript function call, you can now define a link text for every article individually.
You can now import and export your comments, to move them between accounts or for backup purposes.
The Control Panel has been reorganized a little; there are now 3 submenus instead of 2.
You can now easily define your own text for the layout tag examples.
Implemented the same intermediate page for voting as for commenting.

To upgrade from version 1.5, follow these steps:
Upload all script files to the script directory.
Upload the updated language file to the language directory.
Upload the updated themes to the themes directory.
Upload the updated Control Panel resources to the cp directory.
Create a new writable directory called templates inside the polls directory.
Manually refresh your statistics in the Control Panel.
Note that pre-1.6 themes and language files will still work in this release, but you will be unable to use any of the new features.
